An outdated website with a poor mobile user experience was making it tricky for users to find out exactly what The Station could help them with, and how — especially on mobile devices. With studies showing that 95% of homeless people in Sydney own a mobile device, it was critical that the website was mobile first.
I redesigned the site and rewrote the content to make it as easy as possible for someone in need of help to learn whether The Station could help them, then find out how to get there and access the services.
We created a custom icon set to represent each of The Station’s services, aiming to assist those who might struggle with reading to more easily interpret the website and intended meaning.
